2010 Subaru Impreza Wrx STI Special Edition
Subaru’s Special Edition will later become a production model
We never understood why Subaru decided to venture into the Hot Hatch scene and to be honest we’re sure it was the right move! In fact, Subaru is planning a special edition of the car, limited to just 125 units
Although its not exactly a true limited-edition car. While the first 125 examples of the car will be produced in an exclusive Aspen White color, the Special Edition will become a regular production model later in 2010. And you can bet it will be available in the full Subaru colour range.

The 2010 WRX STI Special Edition is aimed at the driving enthusiast who are willing to trade a few luxuries to gain a few extra measures of handling performance over the already extraordinary WRX STI. The suspension for the new version of this high-performance machine is adopted from the Japanese domestic market WRX STI spec C model, which adds a 1-millimeter thicker rear stabilizer bar, stiffer rear sub-frame bushings plus upgraded and retuned springs. The front springs are 16-percent stiffer, while the rear shocks have been stiffened by 29-percent.

The rest of the WRX STI Special Edition’s features match the standard WRX STI’s spec sheet, right down to the 305 horse under the hood, 290-pound-foot turbocharged four-cylinder boxer engine and six-speed manual transmission. The run of the mill Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) system, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, stability control and traction control are also included, along with the super cool Brembo brake system sporting ventilated discs at all four corners of the car. All we can say is, bring on the fun!
