The WPMC is proud to announce that it will once again be hosting a round of the MSA National Drag Championship leg for Streetcars and Motorcycles at Killarney on Saturday 11th February. What makes MSA Drags different from Street2Strip?

In short, no long queues between runs

MSA Drags offers competitions, also known as Bracket Racing (more info on this to follow) which counts towards championship points to determine the top 3 champions for the year. After each event there is also a prize giving where you could possibly take home trophies and/or prize monies (TBC). ALL drag racing runs will be published after each event. Nice for analyzing your runs, etc.

The Fast, Furious and Glorious, South Africa’s biggest car charity event is knocking on our doorsteps and will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary of existence. This event will take place on Monday, 26th December at Killarney Racetrack and will be one promising event not to be missed. This is in Aid of Blouvlei L.S.E.N. in Retreat. I took some time off from my hectic schedule to make a turn at the annual Streetmod Motorshow over the weekend. Thanks to Marlize Hoon for dragging me along. This event took place at the Good Hope Centre and was one promising one not to be missed by all petrolheads. Once again the Mother City’s modfathers and sisters didn’t disappoint the crowd.

Saturday was a eventful day at the Audio Kings Branch in Brackenfell, Team dB hosted one of their shows “Ridez and Vibez”. The event had a pretty awesome turn out with a lot of guys pulling in through out the day. There were some very impressive sound coming from some of the cars, Emma was also there to show their support. Some cars that stick out in my mind was a super chunky Toyo Hilux Bakkie.

This coming weekend sees the return of Car Wars to Killarney, this complimented by the Fix-a-smash All Tar Rally taking place on the oval on Saturday with both events running till late into the evening.  The balance of the unique special stage rally event will take place from early on Sunday morning.
