Last week Thursday I got a call from Abubakr Masoet asking me if I’m available to show off my ride at the Ravensmead High School Carnival.  I always say yes to fundraisings, especially when it’s a school event. The Car show was hosted by Stick Shifters and was in the form of a Burn Out, Sound Off and Show and Shine. I attended the D1S drift session at the 2012 Madigras with my matie Mr Cothill and his super sleek Nissan Silvia which has just been resprayed a glossy black by Dragon Customs.
Mardigras 2012 took place over 2 weekends and seemed to be quite entertaining. This was the 1st year that D1S has been invited to exhibit at the Mardigras Carnival. CampFest is what it’s all about, the modified cars, the people and being able to camp over. This years Camp Festival was held at the Hartebeesport dam resort. The drive to harties is always fun, especially when there are Audi s5’s and Aston martins driving around and getting their asses handed by a couple of Vw’s!!!

The WPMC is proud to announce that it will once again be hosting a round of the MSA National Drag Championship leg for Streetcars and Motorcycles at Killarney on Saturday 11th February. With Killarney playing host to the first round of the 2012 F1X National MSA Drag racing championship, exciting entries have already been received from some top car and motorcycle competitors. Well its been a while since iv actually dropped a blog that iv taken some decent photos for. What makes MSA Drags different from Street2Strip?

In short, no long queues between runs

MSA Drags offers competitions, also known as Bracket Racing (more info on this to follow) which counts towards championship points to determine the top 3 champions for the year. After each event there is also a prize giving where you could possibly take home trophies and/or prize monies (TBC). ALL drag racing runs will be published after each event. Nice for analyzing your runs, etc.

The Fast, Furious and Glorious, South Africa’s biggest car charity event is knocking on our doorsteps and will be celebrating its 10th Anniversary of existence. This event will take place on Monday, 26th December at Killarney Racetrack and will be one promising event not to be missed. This is in Aid of Blouvlei L.S.E.N. in Retreat.
