Kimi Raikkonen leaves F1 racing
Kimi Raikkonen will be taking a break from F1 racing
The Finnish newspaper Turun Sanomat reported last week that ex-Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen will be taking a sabbatical from F1 racing next year.
Kimi’s talks with McLaren, after his forced exit from Ferrari that he’ll only race, had led to him saying that he’ll only be racing in a car that is capable of winning grand prix.
Details of pay and how much time Kimi would be devoting to promotional duties was an issue for McLaren as well as the fact that Kimi wants to continue rallying next year.
So a year off for Kimi, although Autosport speculate that he will return in 2011 to replace Mark Webber at Red Bull, a team that will possibly support Kimi in the World Rally Championship next year.
So what would you do if you were Kimi and had the year off?
Man… I think I’ll miss kimi a lot next season, but in some sense it’s a good thing.. I was getting frustrated with his seeming lack of gees behind the wheel. He wasn’t the kimi of the past. Sure, the car was crap, and I know he only wants to have a good car. Anyways, maybe this ‘sabbatical’ will strengthen his hunger and desire in F1, i hope to see him back
As for my year off as Kimi Raikkonen….. I’m pretty sure I’d want to do something different to the last 9 (or something) years of my life..
No racing and constant travelling… => family, friends and relaxation…

Ya, it’s gonna be a shame to F1. I definitely have a very strong feeling he’ll be doing much better when he returns.
Shame, it’s really gonna be tough for him to survive an entire year on only a F1 salary… HAHA. Thanx for support rewolf
