Special edition Fiat 500 Abarth – Pogea Racing

5 July 2010 One Comment

Pogea Racing have released an amazing upgrade package for the special edition Fiat 500 Abarth 595 Ferrari that includes both performance and styling.
The German tuning company Pogea Racing believes that there’s something very wrong about with having a hot hatch carrying the Ferrari name and that’s powered by an engine producing only 165 horses . So the tuner grabbed hold of the Fiat and decided to do something about this problem.
The car in question is the extremely rare Fiat 500 Abarth Ferrari Dealers Edition. Pogea Racing first gave attention to the stock engine, they upgraded the 1.4-liter turbocharged unit with a much larger turbocharger and intercoolers, new brand spanking exhaust system, modified the downpipe and remapped the ECU.

So instead of a tamed 165HP they whipped the Abarth to 268HP. The torque climbing from 230Nm to 330Nm.
Pogea figured that upgrading the engine it would be wise to also give a bit of attention to the braking system. The new brakes upgrade has reduced the braking distance by about 1.8 meters.
The tuner said that the same performance upgrades can be applied on the standard Abarth models, while the company also offers a complete styling kit with exterior and interior bits
The Pogea Fiat 500 Ferrari can be also customized with new aerodynamic elements made from carbon fiber, an upgraded suspension for improved handling and a couple of interior trim elements.
Check out the wicked interior setup.

Not a big fan of Fiat but this one looks really hot. I wonder if it’s doing the Fiat’s name any good but more importantly, what it’s doing to Ferarri’s most sought after market leadership. I still won’t buy a fiat even if it is endorsed by Ferarri. It’s kind of like buying a sheep in wolf’s clothing.
