The Bmw Vision EfficientDynamics Concept
New BMW Concept revealed at Frankfurt Motor Show
BMW is on a roll, again! Revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show, was BMW’s new, SUPER-HOT concept, the Vision EfficientDynamics Concept. The new concept’s drive train is a plug-in hybrid with a three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Visualised with the idea of melding the performance of an M3 with extremely low fuel consumption, BMW claims a 0-100Km/h time of 4.8 seconds, whilst producing a sneaky 26.6 km/l
The concept uses a 1.5-liter turbo diesel, which is basically half of the 3.0 liter found in the 335d. People have always told me, less is more… Well let’s see what happens to that theory!
The concept produces a rather impressive 122kw with peak torque of 289.82 Nm from a 1.5-liter… (“cough cough”). The engine is paired with a six-speed DCT, derived from the unit used in the M3’s and Z4’s.

The Vision EfficientDynamics Concept uses a new, strong hybrid system. The new system is a further development of the mild hybrid which is debuting in the ActiveHybrid 7. As in the 7, a more
powerful 24-Kw electric motor is sandwiched between the engine and transmission. A second 60-Kw motor provides drive to the front axle. The total net output of the 3 drive systems is: 265 Kw and 799 Nm of torque. That’s enough “Vooom Vooom” to scare off a few Supercars, NICE!!!
To top this all off, the BMW reaches a mind blowing top speed of 249Kmh

That is HOTTTT!!!! Wow.
