Founded in Turin in 1968 by Giorgetto Giugiaro and engineer Aldo Mantovani, Italdesign did something the older carrozzerie rarely managed — it styled AND engineered production cars at industrial scale, from the VW Golf to the DeLorean, while turning out some of the sharpest, most influential concept cars ever drawn. Now part of the Volkswagen Group. These are its design statements.
